Offered here is a game used Notre Dame Fighting Irish helmet used during the 1974 season by Tyrone King. This iconic gold helmet displays heavy game use and is without the facemask. There are numerous scratches, abrasion marks and some paint chipping on this helmet. “43” and “74” are handwritten in black marker on the interior and the interior padding includes the head band pads and ear flap pads, along with a set of pads on the top of the inner crown. This helmet was manufactured by Wilson and is an adjustable size of 7 3/8 – 7 ½. A “NOC-SAE APPROVED” season is engraved. This helmet comes with a LOA from PM&G. Please note that the PM&G LOA shows this helmet with the facemask. The facemask is not with the helmet.
