Very remarkable jersey from Bill Bradley’s last season before he began an entirely new career as a politician. This classic Knicks jersey has everything you would want in a Bill Bradley piece. It is in great game used condition, signed by Bradley and comes with a signed letter directly from the 3-term Senator referencing this jersey. Bradley had a brilliant 10 year NBA career spent entirely with the Knicks and had he simply retired at the end of the 1976 season he would have gone down in memory as a great Hall of Fame basketball player. But the former Rhodes Scholar and Princeton grad had other plans. Only a year after Bradley last wore this jersey he was elected a United States Senator from New Jersey. This classic New York Knicks home jersey shows light game us. The blue and orange tackle twill numbers on the front and back are still very vibrant and leap off the front of the jersey. Cosby tagging is present on the bottom right front tail and below that is the size “40” Medalist Sand-Knit tag. “Bradley” arches across the back above his “24” in Knicks blue and orange tackle twill. Bradley has signed the “2” on the front of the jersey in black marker which really completes this impressive piece. A signed letter on Bradley’s letterhead referencing this jersey is included and has been authenticated by JSA. This letter was written by Bradley when he was shown the jersey to sign by the head of the California democratic party. He sent the jersey back and wrote the letter to the original owner. The jersey has been authenticated and graded an A8 by MEARS. Letters of authenticity from JSA and MEARS with their worksheet accompany this unique piece of NBA history.
