Before Hall of Fame manager Joe Torre entered the realm of coaching, he was a solid player as he was selected to nine all-star teams and was the 1971 National League MVP with the St. Louis Cardinals. Torre used this Adirondack 129A model bat during his final seasons three seasons between 1975-77 when he suited up for the New York Mets. This offered bat displays outstanding game use and has an approximately 13-inch piece of the barrel missing. There are other ball marks and cleat imprints present on the remaining portion of the barrel. The model number “129A” is stamped on the knob, while Torre’s number “9” is handwritten in black marker on the knob and top barrel. Torres has signed the barrel in black marker and inscribed “Best Wishes”. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B01441) for the game use and a STICKER ONLY from PSA/DNA (K87911) for his signature.
