The Caribbean World Series - a postseason tournament featuring champion teams from Cuba, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Venezuela and the Dominican Republic – was first played in 1949 and still continues to this day. In 1975, a team from Puerto Rico, Vaqueros de Bayamon, won the title. Presented here is quite the unique item – a 1975 Bayamon Baseball Club Caribbean World Series Championship ring. This 10K gold piece is highlighted by a deep red stone top, with “BAYAMON BASEBALL CLUB” appearing in relief lettering around the bezel setting. A logo consisting of the team name across a baseball, with an image of a horse and rider above it, appears on the ring’s right shank. The year 1975 is at the top. “CAMPEONES DEL CARIBE”, along with images of crossed bats and two balls, are shown on the opposite shank. The inside of the band, stamped 10K, includes the engraved name of Jose A Crortz. This ring is approximately a size 11 with its weight being an approximate 19.9 grams and comes with owner's original purchase LOA.
