After spending the first eight of his professional seasons with the New York Yankees, Bobby Murcer was traded to the San Francisco Giants for Bobby Bonds following the 1974 season. Murcer had a solid debut season with the Giants as he batted .298, had 11 home runs and drove 98. This offered Hillerich & Bradsby R43 model bat was used by Murcer during the 1975 season, his first of two seasons spent in the Bay Area. This bat displays excellent use and is un-cracked. There are ball marks, stitch impressions and cleat imprints on the barrel. The handle has been taped over a pad in a spiral pattern to enhance the grip, along with a moderate coating of pine tar. Murcer signed his name in black marker on the barrel, which displays some fading, but still very readable. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13790) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.5. There is also a COA from Beckett Authentication Services (F63892) for his signature.
