After the historic 1974 season in which Hall of Famer Hank Aaron passed Babe Ruth on the all-time home run list, Aaron returned to Milwaukee where his career began to play for the Milwaukee Brewers of the American League. Aaron would add 12 more home runs to his career total in 1975, brining his career total to 745. Aaron used this Hillerich & Bradsby A99 model bat during the 1975 season and when he hit career home run 745 on September 14th, 1975 of Boston pitcher Bill Lee.
This bat displays light game use and is un-cracked. Aaron’s number “44” is hand written on the knob and top barrel in black marker. Aaron has signed and inscribed this bat in black marker with the inscriptions reading “HR# 745”. A terrific game used Hank Aaron bat attributed to his last home run of the 1975 season and 745th of his career. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B12271) for the game use and has been graded a GU 7. A letter of provenance from Troy Kinunen detailing the research on this bat and it being attributed to home run 745 is included with this lot. There is also an additional LOA from PSA/DNA (AC09400) and a LOA from SGC (AA03167) for his signature.
