In 1975, the Kansas City Royals began one of the best stretches in their franchise’s history. Between 1975 and 1981, the Royals made the playoffs five times, including a heartbreaking defeat to the Philadelphia Phillies in the 1980 World Series. They won 91 games in 1975, finishing in second place in the American League West. Young third baseman George Brett emerged as one of the best hitters in the American League, while John Mayberry and Harmon Killebrew led the team in home runs.

This Official American League Joseph E. Cronin baseball features the signatures of 15 members of the 1975 Royals, including the Hall of Famers Brett and Killebrew. Hall of Fame manager Whitey Herzog, who skippered the team during the second half of the season, signed the sweet spot. Other signatures include Buck Martinez, Al Cowens, Steve Boros, Bob McClure, Dennis Leonard, Tony Solaita, Nelson Briles, Paul Splittorff, Lindy McDaniel, and several more. The signatures have been written in black, green, and blue ballpoint pen. This item comes with a full LOA from JSA (Z58582).
