Hall of Fame manager Tommy Lasorda was serving as 3rd Base Coach for the Los Angeles Dodgers under Hall of Fame manager Walter Alston in 1975. Lasorda had joined Alston’s staff in 1973 and was widely regarded as the heir apparent to Alston, turning down several Major League managerial offers to stay in the organization he had been with since 1949.
Offered is this road gray button-down Los Angeles Dodgers road jersey worn by Lasorda during the 1975 season. This jersey features “Dodgers” and a paraph sewn on in blue tackle twill across the chest. Lasorda’s number “52” is sewn on in red on the center left chest. This size 44 jersey was manufactured by N.A. Goodman & Sons and their tag is sewn on the inside back collar. The back of the jersey has “LASORDA” and is number “52” sewn on in blue tackle twill. On the bottom front left tail is a gray 2 x 3 inch patch sewn on that has “Set 2 ‘75” embroidered in blue. Lasorda has signed his name in black marker on the upper back right shoulder and inscribed “To Bob you and the Dodgers are great”. This jersey shows light to moderate game use and comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema. There is also a LOA from Steve Grad of Beckett Authentication for the signature and inscription.
