The 1976-77 New York Rangers hockey club was led by a couple of aging, veteran players in 34-year-old Phil Esposito (who posted 34 goals and 46 assists) and 35-year-old Rod Gilbert (27 goals, 48 assists). But they also had some young blood, especially in the form of rookie right winger Don Murdoch. In only 59 games played that season, Murdoch – just 20 years old – scored 32 goals to go along with 24 assists. He finish second in the Rookie of the Year voting and was named to the 1977 NHL All-Star Game.

Up for bid here is Murdoch’s Jostens 10K 1976-77 New York Rangers team ring which is centered by a gorgeous blue stone that sits beyond an image of the team logo. Along the bezel reads “NEW YORK RANGERS NHL”. The left side of the band features a raised image of a hockey player as well as Murdoch’s name and number 14 on a banner design. Another image of a player and “RIGHT WING 14” appear on the other shank. Inside the band is marked JOSTEN’S 10K. This ring is an approximate size 9 ½ and weighs approximately 24.4 grams.
