In 1976, less than 10 years after the franchise was founded, the Portland Trail Blazers won their first NBA title. Behind ginger-haired center Bill Walton, the Blazers defeated the Philadelphia 76ers in a hard fought six game series. Coached by Hall of Famer Jack Ramsey, this iteration of the Blazers remains the only in franchise history to claim the Larry O’Brien Trophy.
This ball is signed by seven members of that 1976 Trail Blazers team, including Hall of Famers Walton and Ramsey. Other signatures include Maurice Lucas, Bob Gross, Dave Twardzick, Johnny Davis, and Lionel Hollins. The signatures are spread over three panels and are written in black Sharpie. This item comes with a PSA/DNA LOA (G59400).
