Forming one of the best outfields of the mid-1970’s, the Boston Red Sox had Hall of Famer Jim Rice in left, Fred Lynn in center and Dwight Evans patrolling right field. Evans had a cannon arm and made one of the most memorable catches in World Series history with his over-the-shoulder catch in Game 6 of the 1975, robbing Hall of Famer Joe Morgan of extra bases and turning it into an inning-ending double play to keep the Red Sox in the game.

Evans wore this size 44 road gray Boston Red Sox pullover jersey during the 1976 season. Manufactured by McAuliffe Uniform Corp of Brockton, MA, this jersey features “BOSTON” in Tuscan font sewn on across the chest in red and navy tackle twill. The V-neck collar is bordered in a red/navy/red pattern and a “1976” tag is sewn on the center front tail. The back of the jersey has Evans’ number “24” sewn on in McAuliffe style red and navy tackle twill. Evans has signed his name in blue marker on the upper left chest. This jersey displays moderate to heavy game use with some staining on the shoulders and sleeves. There is a team repair on the left sleeve and the tackle twill shows some fading. A great early-career gamer from “Dewey” and it comes with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication for the game use and a COA from JSA (CC16970) for Evans’ signature.
