The 1976 Baseball All-Star Game returned to the city of Philadelphia in honor of our Nations' Bi-Centennial year for the first time in almost a quarter century. This is the actual ring presented to MLB Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt, who played third base and grounded out in his only plate appearance. IT was Schmidt’s second of his 13 All Star games. The ring features a maroon colored stone on the face with an applied baseball decoration accented by red enameled stitching. Beveled upper edge is lettered "BASEBALL ALL STAR" around the outside and "AMERICAN NATIONAL" inside. Left shank has MLB logo in relief with "MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL" spelled out above the year "76." Right has the name "SCHMIDT" lettered within top of a Liberty Bell design. Interior band is marked "LGB QP" for Quasar Plus. This ring was personally owned by Schmidt and derives from the personal collection of the Hall of Famer. Comes with a notarized letter of authenticity from Mike Schmidt.
