Baltimore Orioles outfielder Al Bumbry wore this orange Orioles pullover during the 1977 MLB season. Bumbry, playing in his sixth of 13 seasons with the Orioles, hit for an excellent .317 batting average to go with four longballs, 44 RBI, and 18 stolen bases. Bumbry was the Orioles primary leadoff man in 1977, helping the team to a 97-win season alongside Eddie Murray and Jim Palmer. This bright orange jersey has “Orioles” and Bumbry’s number “1” sewn on the chest in black and white tackle twill. “BUMBRY” is sewn across the back shoulders in black tackle twill over a matching orange nameplate, while a second “1” digit is sewn below in black and white tackle twill. A Wilson size “40” tag is sewn in the back inside collar while a “77 1” tag is sewn on the front left tail. Please note that there is a minor stain on the end of the left sleeve. This jersey comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
