In 1977 Lyman Bostock was one of the brightest young stars in the American League. In just his third year in the The Show, the Twins outfielder hit .336, runner up for the batting crown to teammate and Hall of Fame Rod Carew. The following season Bostock would become one of the first big salaried free-agents when he signed the Angels. The young star was leading the team in hitting when he was tragically murdered in a case of mistaken identity. Bostock’s 1977 season Hillerich & Bradsby C243 model bat shows heavy use with a handle crack. There are many ball marks and abrasions on the barrel. The bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14920) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9.
