The 1979 Baltimore Orioles was a turning point in the franchise as the next group of stars ushered in a new and revitalized era of Orioles baseball. Led by Hall of Famer Eddie Murray and Ken Singleton, the O’s stormed the American League East with a 102-57 record and dispatched the California Angels 3-1 in the ALCS before falling to the Pittsburgh Pirates “We Are Family” team in a hard-fought seven-game World Series.

Hall of Famer and manager Earl Weaver signed his name on the sweet spot, along with Jim Frey. Other signatures include Hall of Famers Frank Robinson, Jim Palmer and Eddie Murray, Elrod Hendricks, Rich Dauer, Lee May, Terry Crowley, David Ford, David Skaggs, Scott McGregor, Gary Roenicke, Rick Dempsey, John Lowenstein, Billy Smith, Cal Ripken, Sr., Don Stanhouse and several others. This baseball comes with a LOA from JSA.
