Presented here is a 5 x 4-inch album page signed by members of the 1979 New York Yankees. The 1979 New York Yankees finished with a record of 89-71, finishing fourth in the American League East after dominating the division for three straight seasons. The season was marred by tragedy as the Yankees starting catcher Thurman Munson would die in a tragic plane crash on August 2nd. This presented 5 x 4-inch white album page is signed by Hall of Famer Yogi Berra, the late Thurman Munson, Graig Nettles, Don Gullett, Mickey Rivers, Jerry Narron, and comedian George Burns. Burns signed and inscribed “To (sic) best, George Burns” with an additional inscription “George Burns 85 years old, 1/14/79” by an unknown hand below his signature and inscription in blue ink. The signatures are bold, and the album page contains early elements of edging and toning on the corners. The signed album page featuring signatures from six New York Yankees and comedian George Burns come with an LOA from Beckett Authentication (AA13257) for the signatures.
