Elected to the Hall of Fame in 2003, Gary Carter was an 11-time all-star and a fan favorite throughout his career. "The Kid" used this Louisville Slugger P89 from 1980-1983 during which he made the NL All-Star squad each summer (1981 MVP), won three Gold Glove Awards and two Silver Slugger Awards. This Louisville Slugger P89 model bat displays excellent use and has a crack on the handle. There are ball marks and stitch impressions present on the barrel, along with green bat rack streaks. Carter’s number “8” is hand written in black marker on the knob and there is nice coating of pine tar on the lower handle. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B14625) for the game use and has been graded a solid GU 9.
