Joe Carter will always be remembered for ending the 1993 World Series with his walk-off home run off Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Mitch Williams leading the Toronto Blue Jays to their second straight World Series title. In the early 1980’s, Joe Carter was working his way up the Chicago Cubs organization and used this Louisville Slugger S2 model bat. This bat displays heavy game use and has a crack on the handle. The labeling period of this gamer is between 1980-83 when Carter was in the minor leagues before his callup in 1983. This bat has several ball marks, stitch impressions and cleat imprints on the barrel. The handle has a heavy coating of pine tar. A wonderful early-career gamer from a player that hit one of the most famous home runs in baseball history. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B12811) for the game use.
