“Mr. Clean” Steve Garvey was the Los Angeles Dodgers first baseman through their great dynasty years of 1974 through 1981. In that period, Garvey made eight all-star teams, won four Gold Gloves, a World Championship and was the National League’s Most Valuable Player. Garvey used this Hillerich & Bradsby C263 model bat during the last part of his Dodgers career, which culminated in the 1981 World Series victory over the hated New York Yankees. The bat shows outstanding use with a handle crack and has been dated to the 1980-1982 seasons. Many ball marks and stitch impressions are visible along with blue and black bat rack paint streaks. A light coat of pine tar is on the handle and Garvey’s number “6” is hand written on the knob end in black marker. The bat comes with a full LOA from PSA/DNA (1B10991) for the game use.
