Hall of Famer Jim Rice was the latest in a line of great left fielders that guarded the fabled Green Monster at Fenway Park. Starting with Ted Williams, and then Carl Yastrzemski, the hard-hitting Rice continued the succession of Hall of Fame left fielders for the Boston Red Sox.
Rice used this Louisville Slugger P89 model bat during the 1980-83 seasons, where he hit 104 of his career 382 home runs during that four-year stretch, including an American League high 39 home runs and league leading 126 RBI in 1983. This bat shows excellent use and is cracked. Rice’s number “14” has been hand written in black marker on the knob and the handle shows evidence of being taped. There are ball marks and abrasions throughout the barrel. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B12642).
