Offered are the signatures of two stars of “Star Wars Episode V – The Empire Strikes Back,” Mark Hamill and Kenny Baker, on a 1980 Coca-Cola promotional poster depicting their characters, Luke Skywalker and R2-D2. Noted fantasy artist Boris Vallejo painted this poster, of Luke Skywalker standing in the swamps of Dagobah, holding a purple light saber in his upraised right hand, while Yoda sits quietly to his right, and R2-D2 observes on his left. The swamps and trees of the planet Dagobah are depicted in the background. At the bottom right is the legend, printed in black, “Deep in the heavy, twisted green swamps of Dagobah; a defiant, young Luke Skywalker explores the powers of the force under the tutelage of Yoda, the sagacious 800-year-old trainer of the Jedi Knights.”

Hamill has signed his name in black marker at the bottom of his figure, while Baker has signed his name in black marker in the lower right corner. The poster is inscribed, in blue ink, “215/250” in the lower right corner. The upper left corner of the poster has the logo for “Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back” reversed out in white. The bottom of the poster notes “An original poster series from The Coca-Cola Company. Number One of Three.” The 18 x 24-inch poster is displayed in a black plastic frame with clear plastic cover.
