Beginning in 1962, Willie Stargell became an indispensible part of the Pittsburgh Pirates organization. He anchored the 1971 and 1979 World Series Champion teams and along the way led the NL in home runs twice (’71 and ’73), earned the NL MVP in 1979, and played on seven All-Star teams. Pop’s was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1988, and passed away in 2001. The Adirondack 220D Pro Model bat was used by Stargell during the 1980 season and shows light game use with a medium coat of pine tar on the upper handle. This bat comes with an LOA from PSA/DNA (1B13739) for the game use.
