The Hall of Fame right tackle Jackie Slater wore this white Los Angeles Rams jersey during the 1980s. Slater, a Jackson State product, played his entire 20-season career for the Los Angeles/St. Louis Rams, earning seven Pro Bowl selections after being selected with the 86th overall pick of the 1976 NFL Draft. Slater blocked for the legendary running back Eric Dickerson, who led the NFL in rushing three times thanks to the efforts of Slater and the Rams offensive line. Slater was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001. Slater’s son Matthew is a special teams standout for the New England Patriots, and with 14 Pro Bowl appearances between the two of them, the Slaters are third all-time behind the Manning and Matthews family in combined Pro Bowl appearances in one family.
This offered Rams jersey is white, with yellow and blue sleeves. Slater’s number “78” is printed on the chest, back, and shoulders in blue. “SLATER” is printed across the back shoulders over a matching white nameplate. A PMG LOA accompanies this historic, Hall of Fame jersey.
