Due to the Players’ Strike, the 1981 season was shortened and ultimately split into two halves. Hall of Famer Frank Robinson was the manager of the San Francisco Giants in the 1981 season. The Giants finished with an overall 56-55 record and just missed qualifying for the first-ever Division Series from their second-half record by 3 ½ games. Robinson wore this black alternate Giants jersey during the 1981 season. This pullover jersey was manufactured by Wilson and is a size 42. “Giants” and Robinson’s number “20” are sewn on the front in orange and white tackle twill. The Wilson tag is sewn on the inside back collar and a black patch with “20 81” is in orange is sewn on the bottom front left tail. The V-neck collar has a black, white and orange stripe and the sleeve ends have orange, white and black stripes. The back of the jersey has “ROBINSON” sewn on in orange and white tackle twill on a matching black nameplate, while his number “20” is sewn on in the same orange and white tackle twill. This jersey displays light use. This jersey comes with a LOA from 100% Authentic for the use.
