This stunning Official American League Lee MacPhail baseball has been painted with the likenesses of the Hall of Fame centerfielders Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Duke Snider and Joe DiMaggio. The signatures of Mays and DiMaggio appear on the sweet spot in blue pen, while Snider and Mantle’s signatures flank the slightly faded stamped signature of American League president Lee MacPhail. Each player is painted by the artist JM Everett in the uniform of their most notable team with Snider being portrayed in a Los Angeles Dodgers cap. This ball was painted in 1981 and comes with a LOA from JSA for the signatures. Please note that this lot has a 25% Buyer’s Premium. Goldin Auctions will be donating 10% of the winning bid price to The Jackie Robinson Foundation.
