Offered in this lot is a collection of University of North Carolina yearbooks from Michael Jordan’s era in Chapel Hill. Also included in this lot is a 1985 NBA souvenir magazine signed by Jordan’s parents James and Dolores. The yearbooks included in this lot are the 1982 Yackety Yak from Jordan’s freshman season at North Carolina, the 1983 edition released after his sophomore year of college, the 1984 Yackety Yak from Jordan’s final year in Carolina blue, and the 1985 abridged edition of the University of North Carolina yearbook from Jordan’s first year in the NBA. All of these yearbooks feature numerous photographs and statistics from the legendary collegiate career of “His Airness”.
The fifth item in this lot is a NBA souvenir magazine from October 20th, 1985 - five days before the Bulls defeated the Cleveland Cavaliers behind Jordan’s 29 points to open the future Hall of Famer’s sophomore NBA season. Dolores Jordan and James Jordan have signed the cover, featuring a tuxedoed “MJ”, in blue pen. This item comes with a LOA from JSA.
