Offered here are three University of North Carolina team issued 5 x 7-inch black and white profile photographs of Michael Jordan for the 1982-83 season. This season was Jordan’s sophomore year, coming off the National Championship victory in which Jordan hit the winning shot against Georgetown.  Both photos are closeups of Jordan in his road UNC jersey, but have slightly different angles of the closeups and slightly different expressions of Jordan. Both have “MICHAEL JORDAN” printed in the bottom left corner and both have “NORTH CAROLINA” printed in the bottom right corner. Jordan, coming off his big shot to close out his Freshman season, burst onto the national scene in his Sophomore season, leading the Tar Heels in scoring, averaging 20.0 points per game as the UNC finished 28-8, winning the ACC regular season and falling in the East Regional Final to Georgia. These are two great photographs, used for press releases and other media functions show a very youthful Jordan – a great piece of Jordan memorabilia.
