Hall of Fame pitcher Don Sutton wore this Houston Astros home alternate pullover jersey during the 1982 MLB season. Sutton, who pitched the first 15 seasons of his career as a Los Angeles Dodger, joined the Astros in 1981. Sutton started 50 games in 1981 and 1982 for the Astros, winning 24 games and losing 17. Near the end of the ’82 campaign, the 1980 National League ERA champ was traded to the Milwaukee Brewers. Sutton, the winner of 324 MLB games, finished up his career in 1988 with one final season for the Dodgers. In 1998, Sutton was honored with a spot in the National Baseball Hall of Fame.

This jersey is a white pullover with multi-colored orange, yellow, and red bands on the top of the sleeves. “ASTROS” and a star are sewn on the chest in navy tackle twill. “SUTTON” is sewn across the back shoulders in navy tackle twill on a white nameplate. His number “20”, which has been retired by the Dodgers, is sewn on the back in navy tackle twill. The v-neck collar and sides of the jersey are navy blue. “82 44Z”, Astros Sand-Knit, and size “44” Sand-Knit tags are sewn on the front left tail of the jersey. This jersey, which shows light wear, comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
