Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt was coming off back-to-back National League MVP seasons in 1982. Although he didn’t win his third MVP in a row, Schmidt still posted solid numbers, including 35 home runs and 87 RBI, while he led the NL in walks with 107, OBP (.403), Slugging (.547) and OPS (.949).

This Adirondack model MS20 professional model bat was used by Schmidt during the 1982 season and it exhibits evidence of heavy use with a crack on the handle. There are many ball marks and ball stitch impressions that are visible on the left barrel. Cleat marks are visible on all sides of the bat and also visible on the bat are red and green bat rack streaks. There is a moderate coat of pine tar on the lower handle and a moderate coat on the center brand. The model number (MS20), order number (206) and year (2) are stamped into the knob and Schmidt's number (20) written on the knob in black marker. There are remnants of a fading autograph and inscription on the front barrel that is not legible. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA and has been graded a solid GU 8.5.
