The 1982 Milwaukee Brewers carried an unstoppable offense to a 95-67 regular season record, winning the AL East. Cecil Cooper hit .313 with 32 home runs and 121 runs batted in, while Robin Yount batted .331 with 29 HRs and 114 RBIs. Not to be outdone, Paul Molitor hit .302 with 136 runs scored and 41 stolen bases. For good measure, both Gorman Thomas (39, 112) and Ben Oglivie (34, 102) each topped 30 home runs and 100 RBIs for the season. A prolific offense, indeed. On the mound, Pete Vuckovich went 18-6 with a 3.34 ERA to lead the staff. The Brewers beat the California Angels in the ALCS before falling to the St. Louis Cardinals, four games to three, in the World Series.

Offered here is a Balfour 10K gold 1982 Milwaukee Brewers American League championship ring that was presented to Nelson Burbrink a scout in the organization. Burbrink was a former Major League player and also served as scout for the Cardinals and Mets. This ring features a single round diamond set on a blue color stone. Around the bezel setting reads “MILWAUKEE BREWERS” in relief lettering, while “AMERICAN LEAGUE CHAMPIONS” appears around the outer perimeter. One side of the ring displays the American League logo along with the year “1982”, while the opposite side is centered by a depiction of the Brewers ball-in-glove logo. The name “BURBRINK” appears at the top. Inside the band is marked “BALFOUR 10K”. This ring is an approximate size 11 ½ with the weight approximately 34.7 grams. This ring comes with a LOA from the family of Nelson Burbrink.
