Offered here are a pair of tickets for the 1982 Final Four that witnessed the unveiling of a young freshman named Michael Jordan. The North Carolina Tar Heels, under the tutelage of Hall of Fame coach Dean Smith, were the No. 1 seed in the East Region where they knocked of James Madison, Alabama and Villanova to reach the Final Four.

Both full tickets are yellow with black print with the first ticket from the Saturday March 27, 1982 semi-finals that pitted North Carolina against Houston, along with Georgetown and Louisville. North Carolina defeated Houston 68-63 in the semi-final and then defeated Georgetown 63-62 on Monday March 29, 1982 thanks to Michael Jordan’s game-winning shot. The tickets have the NCAA logo on the upper left corner and “LOUISIANA SUPERDOME, NEW ORLEANS, LA.” across the center with an image of the Superdome below. The Gate (G WEST), section (632), row (15) and seat (1) are printed vertically on each side. The face value of each ticket was $13.00 and is printed on the bottom right. The semi-final ticket has “BASKETBALL SEMI-FINALS” and “Saturday March 27, 1982” printed, while the championship game has “BASKETBALL FINALS” and “Monday March 29, 1982” printed.
