During the 1980’s Montreal Expos outfielder Tim Raines was one of the most feared batters in the National League. A hard man to strike out, Raines was a consistent .300 hitter and once he got on base, it was a whole new ballgame as he was either at the top or close to the top in steals each season.
This offered bat dates to the hall of Famer’s prime years in Montreal in which he won a batting crown, topped the NL in seals three times and runs twice. The Worth WC117S model bat is un-cracked and shows heavy use. Many ball marks and bat rack paint streaks can be seen on the barrel. There is some light checking on the barrel from repeated ball contact and a moderate coat of pine tar on the handle. Raines’ number “30” is on the knob and the Hall of Famer has signed the barrel “Best Wishes” in black marker. This bat comes with an LOA from MEARS (315403) for the game use and has been given a perfect A10 grade and a LOA from PSA/DNA (AC01232) for the signature.
