Hall of Fame pitcher Gaylord Perry spent his last season in the Majors in 1983. After starting the season with the Seattle Mariners, with whom he had signed for as a free agent to start the 1982 season, Perry was released by the Mariners in late June of 1983. Shortly thereafter, Perry signed on with the Kansas City Royals to finish out the season and ultimately his career. Perry pitched solidly for the Royals as he pitched to a 4-4 record and a 4.27 ERA.

Offered here a Kansas City Royals home button-down jersey worn by Perry during the 1983 season. This size 46 Wilson jersey features “Royals” and a paraph across the front, sewn on in blue tackle twill. Perry’s number “36” is sewn on in blue tackle twill on the left center chest. The back of the jersey has “PERRY” and “36” sewn on in blue tackle twill. The collar and sleeve ends are bordered in blue/white/blue knit pattern. The bottom front left tail has an “83” patch and the Wilson tag is sewn on the inside back collar. This jersey displays heavy game use and Perry has signed his name in light blue marker vertically on the inside lower center lining. This jersey comes with a LOA from MEARS (315900), who have graded this jersey a near-perfect A9, plus a COA from JSA (CC16891) for his signature.
