During the 1980’s Montreal Expos outfielder and Hall of Famer Tim Raines was one of the most feared batters in the National League. A hard man to strike out, Raines was a consistent .300 hitter and once he got on base, it was a whole new ballgame as he was either at the top or close to the top in steals each season. During the 1983 season, Raines led the National League in stolen bases with 90, while also leading the Senior Circuit in runs scored (133) and plate appearances (720).

Raines wore this home white Montreal Expos jersey during the 1983 season. Manufactured by Rawlings, this Expos jersey features the Expos “M” logo sewn on the upper left chest in blue, white and red tackle twill with “expos” sewn on in blue tackle twill. Raines’ number “30” is sewn on the upper right chest in blue tackle twill. Red and blue knit stripes that measure two inches combined, run down each sleeve vertically and down each side. The back of the jersey has “RAINES” and “30” sewn on in blue tackle twill. The Rawlings size 40 tag is sewn on the inside back collar and an “83” patch is sewn on the inside front left tail. This jersey displays moderate wear with some stains and comes with a LOA from MEARS (316018), who have graded this jersey a perfect A10.
