Houston Astros ace Joe Niekro wore this off-white road jersey circa 1984-85. Niekro won 16 games with a 3.04 ERA for the Astros in 1984, but the 40-year old was traded to the New York Yankees during the tail end of the 1985 season. Niekro, a knuckleball specialist, played 22 MLB seasons, winning 221 games with a 3.59 ERA. Between Joe and Phil, the Brothers Niekro won 539 Major League games, the most by any pair of siblings.

This pullover jersey has “Astros” and a star sewn on the chest of the jersey in navy and white tackle twill. “NIEKRO” is sewn across the back shoulders in navy tackle twill over a matching off-white nameplate. His number “36” is sewn below in navy and white tackle twill. The sleeves of this jersey are accented with navy, red, orange, and yellow stripes. The side of the jersey is accented with a navy stripe. A size “44” Goodman & Sons tag is sewn on the front left tail. This jersey shows moderate wear and comes with a LOA from MEARS, who have graded the jersey a perfect A10.
