Hall of Famer Marcel Dionne was the face of the Los Angeles Kings’ franchise during his tenure that started in 1975 until his trade to the New York Rangers in the middle of the 1986-87 season. Dionne’s 1984-85 season was statistically one of his top seasons as the Drummondville, Quebec native tallied 126 points in 80 games, scoring 46 goals for the playoff-bound Kings.
This offered road purple Los Angeles Kings jersey was worn by Dionne during the 1984-85 season. This classic purple jersey with yellow and white accents features the Kings’ crown logo sewn on the front in Kings’ colors and the sleeves tops and shoulders are yellow with white borders. Dionne, as one of the assistant captains, has the “A” sewn on the upper chest in yellow and white tackle twill. The bottom of the jersey has a white/yellow/white striping pattern. The back of the jersey has “DIONNE” sewn on in yellow tackle twill on a matching purple nameplate, while the number “16” is sewn on in yellow and white tackle twill below. Dionne’s number “16” is also sewn on in purple and white tackle twill on the lower shoulder on each of the yellow sleeves. A fight strap is attached on the inside back of this jersey and is still intact. The back tail of this jersey has a vintage Adidas logo embroidered in yellow along with the “CCM” logo embroidered in yellow, purple and white. This jersey displays outstanding game use with some team repairs and abrasions present and comes with a LOA from Sports Investors Authentication for the game use.
