This New York Mets hat, dating to circa 1984-86, was game worn by Dwight “Doc” Gooden, during the prime Cy Young and World Series era of Doc and the Amazin Mets!. The Sports Specialties cap, size 7 3/8, features Gooden’s nickname “DOC” written in black marker on the underside of the brim, adjacent to Gooden’s signature in blue ink. The cap shows moderate wear and is accompanied by an LOA from MEARS and a COA from JSA (Y93991).
