This red sports jacket was proudly worn by University of Michigan student Barry Larkin when he represented the United States at the 1984 Olympic Games. Larkin, along with Mark McGwire and Will Clark, were members of Team USA's baseball contingent where they played an exhibition tournament against seven other nations. The red sports jacket has the 1984 Team USA LA Olympics patch on the pocket. The front has 2 gold USA Olympic buttons and each sleeve has three smaller gold USA Olympic buttons. A flapped patch pocket is on each side of the jacket. The inside has a buff colored silk lining with a repeating Team USA logo. The interior has a "Dry Clean Only" patch and Levi's "Exclusively made for the 1984 Olympic Team" patch. The jacket shows light use with no evident staining of tears. Also included with the jacket is Larkin's official Team USA enameled belt buckle. This is attached to a matching red web belt. The buckle shows good use with a some wear and dings in the enamel surface. A rarely seen ceremonial jacket and belt from the LA Games. Barry Larkin LOA . All Barry Larkin LOAs contain a facsimile signature from Larkin and are accompanied by a Goldin Auctions LOA confirming the product came directly from Barry Larkin.
