     Offered up here for auction is a 10K gold 1984 Columbus Clippers International League Champions ring, presented to Stump Merrill, who was the manager of the team that season. The Clippers – guided by Merrill – were the league regular season champions, finishing with a record of 82-57. Scott Bradley was the team’s best hitter, batting .335 with 84 RBIs. The pitching staff was led by Kelly Faulk, who posted a record of 11-1 with a 2.82 ERA, while Jim Deshaies and Joe Cowley each won 10 games. Centering the ring is the Yankees “NY” logo, with five CZs, set on a beautiful blue stone. Around the bezel setting reads “INTERNATIONAL LEAGUE CHAMPIONS” in relief lettering, as well of two images of baseballs. The left shank features the team logo along with “CLIPPERS” at the top. Merrill’s last name appears at the top of the opposite shank, which also includes an image of a baseball stadium and the year 1984. Inside of the band is engraved “Carl Merrill” along with a 10K mark. The size of this ring is an approximate size 7 and it weighs approximately 21.2 grams. This item comes with a LOA from Stump Merrill.
