The legendary broadcaster Dick Enberg was presented with this 1984 Eclipse Award for his “outstanding national television coverage of thoroughbred racing”. From 1984 to 1990, Enberg was the host of NBC’s Breeders’ Cup coverage, among his other wide-ranging contributions to NBC broadcasts. This award measures 11 inches tall and is topped by a figurine of a thoroughbred horse. A placard is affixed to the base of this trophy. It reads “Eclipse Award 1984 Dick Enberg NBC Sports For Outstanding National Television Coverage of Thoroughbred Racing”. This trophy is accompanied by a LOA from the Enberg family.
