In 1984, ace reliever Lee Smith helped the Chicago Cubs win a rare division title. They claimed the National League East with a 96-65 record as Smith saved 33 games. They advanced to the NLCS, where they fell in a tough five game series to the San Diego Padres. This award measures 5 x 7 inches. It is clear, with an ivy leaf from Wrigley Field grown during the 1984 season embedded in the award. “The Year The Ivy Smiled” and “The 1984 Chicago Cubs” is printed at the top, with a Cubs logo and “National League Eastern Division Champions” printed at the bottom. This item comes with a LOA from Lee Smith.
