Rick Rhoden was a two-time All-Star starting pitcher who spent 15 years in MLB, including eight seasons with Pittsburgh, where he twice finished in the top-5 in ERA in the National League. This mustard yellow, pullover game used home 1984 Pittsburgh Pirates jersey features "PIRATES" across the chest with Rhoden's number "29" on both sides in black-on-white tackle twill. His name "RHODEN" is stitched across the back in black on a yellow name plate. This nameplate is a restored name plate which was common for the Pirates as many jerseys were sent down to the minors. The front tail features a yellow strip tag reading "28 84 1" indicating Rhoden's jersey number, year and set. The inside collar of the jersey has a white "Wilson 44" manufacturers size tag. The jersey exhibits evidence of light game use. Full LOA from Dave Miedema, noted sports jersey expert. Multiple images and LOAs available at goldinauctions.com.
