Rickey Henderson gave opposing catchers nightmares throughout his Hall of Fame, 25-season career. The all-time and single-season stolen base record holder, Henderson was threat to score every time he reached base. While steals were his signature, the 1990 American League MVP was one of the most dangerous lead-off hitters in baseball, racking up over 3,000 hits in his career.
These cleats were used in the 1984 season, Henderson’s sixth year. The Oakland A’s leftfielder led the American League with 66 stolen bases, as well as a then-career high 16 home runs and 58 RBI. These Mizuno cleats are white with green vinyl accents. Henderson signed the heel of each cleat in black pen. These spikes show excellent evidence of game use. These cleats come with a LOA from JT Sports for the game use and individual LOAs from PSA/DNA for his signatures (AB12602 & AB12603).
