This handsome Josten’s 10K gold Ring was presented to Hockey Hall of Famer Tommy Ivan in recognition of his contributions to Team USA in the 1984 Canada Cup series. As Chairman of the organizing committee for the 1979-1980 Olympic Hockey festival, Ivan was instrumental in putting together the 1980 U.S. Men’s “Miracle on Ice team that won the Gold Medal at the Winter Olympics in Lake Placid, New York.
Size 9.5, 27-gram ring features a prominent red gemstone on top with the wording, “USA Hockey Team,” in raised lettering around its perimeter. The Canada Cup logo appears on one shank with “1984” and “Canada Cup” engraved above and below, and a USA flag team logo and “Hockey Team,” are on the opposite side. Ivan’s full name is engraved on block letters on the interior band
