The 1984 United States Olympic Basketball Team stormed to the gold medal at the Los Angeles Summer Olympics, winning all eight of their games against overmatched competition. Led by a quartet of All-Americans, including Michael Jordan, Wayman Tisdale, Patrick Ewing, and Sam Perkins, the United States team was so deep that future Hall of Famers Charles Barkley and John Stockton missed the cut. The team was made up entirely of amateur players, with NBA athletes eight years away from competing in Olympic tournaments. The 12 players and five coaches on this team are pictured on the court, with the players dressed in their home white uniforms. Michael Jordan is pictured front and center, while other Hall of Famers pictured include Ewing, Chris Mullin, Bobby Knight, and George Raveling. This picture originates from the personal collection of Wayman Tisdale, the leading rebounder on the 1984 team. This item measures 26 x 22 inches and comes with a LOA from Regina Tisdale, the wife of the late Wayman Tisdale.
