For a decade Andre Dawson was the star center fielder for the Montreal Expos. Unfortunately playing all his home games on artificial turf took its toll, and Dawson spent part of 1985 sidelined with knee problems. He rebounded for one last great season in Montreal, hitting .284 with 20 home runs before he went to Chicago, winning the NL MVP Award in 1987. The 1985-86 Worth WC118 model bat is un-cracked and shows excellent use. There are many ball marks on the barrel along with bat rack paint streaks and cleat imprints. Dawson’s number “10” is handwritten on the knob in blue marker and the Hall of Famer has signed the barrel in black marker. This bat comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1B17742) for the game use and has been graded a near-perfect GU 9. There is also a LOA from Beckett Authentication for the signature.
