California Angels catcher Bob Boone wore this gray Angels road pullover during the 1985 season. Boone, the son of Ray and father of Bret and Aaron, hit five homers with 55 RBI for the Angels in his 14th MLB campaign. Boone started 147 games at catcher for the Angels, recording a .987 fielding percentage and throwing out an American League-best 44% of attempted base-stealers in his age-37 season. This gray Angels pullover has “Angels” sewn across the chest in red and navy tackle twill, with a gold and navy tackle twill halo sewn around the “A”. Boone’s number “8” is sewn on the chest and back in red and navy tackle twill. “BOONE” is sewn across the back shoulders in the same fashion. An Angels 25th Anniversary patch is sewn on the right sleeve and a state of California patch is sewn on the left. A Goodman & Sons size “45” tag is sewn on the front left tail of this jersey. This comes with a LOA from noted game used jersey expert Dave Miedema.
