Presented is a 1985 Chicago Bears team-signed Super Bowl XX commemorative helmet with 31 signatures. The navy-blue Riddell full-size helmet has the Chicago Bears orange and white logo decal on the right side of the helmet, and a red, white, blue and silver Super Bowl XX logo decal on the left side, with the legend “New Orleans, Louisiana January 26, 1986 Bears 46, Patriots 10” in white block letters. Among the 31 signatures, all in silver marker, are notable Bears figures including Pro Football Hall of Fame head  coach Mike Ditka (inside the “C” logo on the right side of the helmet), Jim McMahon, William Perry, Otis Wilson, Mike Tomczak, Steve McMichael, Maury Buford, Keith Van Horne, Mark Bortz, Henry Waechter, Reggie Phillips, Leslie Frazier, Gary Fencik, Ken Taylor, Calvin Thomas, Mike Hartenstine and Richard Dent, who has inscribed “MVP XX” below his signature. The 1985 Chicago Bears are one of the few teams to consistently challenge the undefeated 1972 Miami Dolphins for the unofficial title of the greatest NFL team of all time.
