Presented here is a Rawlings Pro – 7 fielder’s glove issued to New York Mets third baseman Howard Johnson during the 1985 season, Johnson’s first campaign at Shea Stadium. Johnson, a future All-Star and MVP candidate, hit 11 home runs with 46 RBI during the 1985 season. “HO→ / ←JO” is written on the wrist next to the Rawlings tag, and Johnson’s number “20” is written above the circular Rawlings logo on the back of the thumb. Johnson signed the back of the ring finger slot in blue marker, inscribing “1985 Season” on the pinky slot. This item comes with a LOA from PSA/DNA (1G00121) for its game issued status, and a COA from JSA (I98699) for the signature.
