Minnesota Twins Hall of Famer Kirby Puckett wore this red and navy Twins batting helmet in 1985, his sophomore MLB campaign. Puckett had an excellent year at the dish in 1985, hitting .288 with the first four home runs of his career and 74 RBI. Puckett recorded career-highs in stolen bases (21) and triples (13) for the Twins under the managers Billy Gardner and Ray Miller. Puckett retired after the 1995 season and was inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2001 on his first ballot. This offered helmet has a red body and a navy brim, with a Twins logo decal applied to the front of the helmet. Puckett’s number “34” and an American Baseball Co. logo are applied to the back of the helmet. A second “34” is applied to the brim of the helmet. The interior padding is intact and Puckett’s “34” is written on the head pad in black marker. Puckett has signed the brim of this helmet in silver marker. This size 7 1/8 helmet shows excellent use and comes with a LOA from JT Sports for the use and a LOA from JSA (Z67463) for the signature.
